My math score went from 430 to 610. November 15, 2008 Great book. My math score went from 430 to 610 just from using this book.
I felt like I was cheatng! November 9, 2008 As they point out at the beginning of the book, the GRE doesn't test how smart you are, it tests how good you are at taking the GRE. That being said, "Cracking the GRE" won't make you a genious, but when grad schools see your score, they will be lead to believe that you are a genious. This book was all that I used to prepare for the GRE, and I walked out of the test with a 750 math and a 710 verbal. Case in point, I look like a regular Norman Einstein (you've probably noted from my grammar and spelling that I'm not).
So buy the book. You'll look like you're smarter than you are.
OMFG October 30, 2008 Holy Mother of Monkeyballs. There is one moment of pure sublime beauty in the DVD attached, where while the nerdy guy talks to the camera, two college students break out into what I can only describe as something halfway between a fight to the death and dry humping. You must see it. Also, the quantitative analyses were very helpful.
Barron's is better June 26, 2008 This book was good as a general review, but now I'm working through Barron's GRE book and I'm happy that I didn't rely on the Princeton Review book. Barron's GRE is much more rigorous. All areas of the GRE are covered much more thoroughly by Barron's GRE.
Does A Good Job, But Could Do Better November 25, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book was helpful, it was written well and in a positive style (which is good if you're freaking out about the GRE). When I bought this book I also ordered a couple of other GRE test prep books, and compared to some of the others (like the Barron's book for example) the Princeton Review book did not have as much practice sets and their word list was not as comprehensive either. This books was great in a lot of ways, but i just wish it had more.
