Product Description Principles of Finance with Excel is the first textbook that comprehensively integrates Excel into the teaching and practice of finance. This book provides exceptional resources to the instructor and student, combining classroom-tested pedagogy with the full potential of Excel's powerful functions. In today's business world, computation is done almost wholly in Excel. Excel's ability to combine graphics with computation and perform complex sensitivity analysis with ease provides potent insights into financial problems. Despite this, most finance texts rely heavily on hand-held calculators and ignore Excel. As a result, many students find that after they enter the professional environment, they have to relearn both finance and Excel. Principles of Finance with Excel is ideal for undergraduate courses in introductory finance or as a reference for finance professionals. A Free In-Text CD for students contains electronic versions of all spreadsheets in the book. A Companion Website -- http://www.oup.com/us/benninga -- contains lecture notes, PowerPoint Slides, and a Test Bank for instructors.

Finance School July 23, 2008 I am big on learning on my own, and this book is excellent for self-study. This book is at the undergraduate college level for finance, and additionally includes instruction about Excel. This book is great for anyone who wants to learn Excel from the standpoint of finance, using the functions that pertain to finance in particular.
An Extremely Informative Book July 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have rarely come across a text that explains the complex financial concepts so well. The hands-on learning that the book encourages makes it unique. The best part is that you do not need to be a finance or a commerce person to understand those concepts. This book is throughly recommended to those starting out with finance as well as experienced professionals.
Principles of Finance with Excel June 8, 2008 Well, I daresay this book will be useful for those interested in finance and particular in practice side as this book contains theoretical as well as practical overview of financial calculations using excel. So without any hesitation I avise to have this book and to lean it. I think that it will be more useful for the beginners but advanced specialists will also find it interesting. Also this book is with CD so you can check your understanding. My point it is worth for being bought.
