Editorial Reviews:

Book Description
Reading this exceptionally clever, completely fresh approach to selling words through pictures could be the turning point in many writers' careers. By creating packages that combine text and pertinent pictures, writers can find new markets for their work. Everything a writer needs to know to develop competency at photography is explained, including composing shots that are just what editors want. Publishing on the World Wide Web is also covered, as are the legalities involved in photo publication.

Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Worse than worthless. Why is this turkey still in print?!?!   January 13, 2003

Rather than spending time discussing how to use photographs to make your submissions more appealing, or how to market books or articles that include both writing and photographs, this book is a very basic introduction to principles of photography. There are many, many superior books on this subject.

To make matters worse, this book is very dated. There is significant space spent on setting up a black-and-white darkroom, and the author sings the praises of manual focus camera systems which haven't been manufactured for a decade. The book is copyrighted 1998, so there is no excuse for this. A writer who knows little of photoraphy is literally much better off without the book than with the dated information it contains.

I cannot recommend the book for any purpose. I haven't checked back to verify, but I believe this is my first one-star rating out of my many Amazon reviews (I've given very few two-star ratings, also). I can give it with a clear conscience.
