Product Description
When tall, ruggedly handsome U.S. marshall Raphael Madison tells spirited five-foot-three floral designer Simone Whitfield that he's her live-in bodyguard for the duration of a high-profile court case, the notion that opposites attract definitely applies.

But while trying to stay busy and ignore the magnetic pull of the hunky lawman, Simone discovers that sharing her home with a bodyguard stirs up a storm of longing. Soon, their closeness becomes electrifying, as friendship brings intimacy and an endless night of uncontrollable passion. But will the morning after bring regrets…or promises of forever?

5 out of 5 stars Taken By Storm   August 10, 2008
This is the 3rd and last installment of the Whitfield Brides series and it is of the chain as the the first 2 books were! All 3 books in this series were great and I hated to see it end because I would love to read about more about these 3 beautiful women, their husbands and the birth of their children. Great series Rochelle!

I can say that Wayne has done it again this is a great book and you are going to love. By far this book is my favorite don't get me wrong the other books was just as good. Russell sees Victoria on stage and it is love at first sight he is so taken with her he can't believe his reaction but Tori is just as taken with him when she spot him out in the audience she is just as taken with him. The couple meet after her act and Wayne take the reader on a roller coaster of a ride with them. The SPARKS fly and it is instance attraction between them and it is so HOT they just burn up the pages. Russell is player doesn't have many friends and is missing home along with his brother & sister. He has decided that he is not ready for marriage so he think and Victoria is just getting her career off the ground so she is not looking to settling down either so you would think that this tis the perfect relationship for Russell & Tori. WRONGGGGGG As the relationship develope they both realized that they have fallen in love with each other despite the fact that neither one of them are ready for a serious relationship so they thought. Russell realize that he do want what his brother & sister has and decided to ask Tori to marriage him. Now I can't tell you any more you will have to buy and read the book to find out what her answer will be, and see what other STUMBLING BLOCK this couple will face. smile..................lol Louise

This book is a winner! The characters were well develped and the scenes just had a good flow. Even though this book is part of a trilogy it can easily stand alone. Ms. Alers saved the best for last!

This is the third book in the Whitfield trilogy and definitely the best in my opinion. We were introduced to Simone in the other two stories but now we really get to know her and understand her better. Although she has always been a tough, outspoken tomboy she has a sensitive side that most don't see. After witnessing an attack on a federal judge she becomes a protected witness and her whole world is turned upside down by U.S. Marshal Rafe Madison. Simone and Rafe have a rough start but eventually they discover that although they are opposite in many ways they still are right for each other.

4 out of 5 stars Unpredictable Whitefield   July 26, 2008

TAKEN BY STORM is the third installment to the Whitefield's series by Rochelle Alers. Will Simone Whitefield's bodyguard win her heart of cold and turn it into a passionate heart that needs rekindling?

Simone Whitfield has an eye for flowers but her family would say her choice of men is not the best. When Simone finds herself an eyewitness to an attempted murder her life as she knows is turned upside down when she is assigned a live in bodyguard.

US Marshal Raphael Madison isn't your everyday bodyguard one might say that when you get to know him during the story he's a very diligent person. Raphael and Simone butt heads numerous times during the story. He enjoys her because she's spirited and not against speaking her mind however she detests him because she isn't use to taking orders.

As a storm brews the pull of passion leads to an electrifying friendship, relationship, and a whirlwind courtship that should never had happen but love has its own way of dealing with things. The book was a delightful read while in the other two installments to the Whitfield sisters I found Simone's story to be a little different yet in a unique way. With her false bravo in place she finally meets her match in the most unexpected way. I was hoping for a little more because of Simone's personality but I will give Mrs. Alers her props for she has closed out this series showing that women who have had their bad times can also come out on top. Rochelle Alers weaves to gather an impeccable story leaving you wanting more.
