4 out of 5 stars Bought as a gift   March 8, 2008
I bought this as a gift for my sister who was in the transition from a job she wasn't happy with to a new one. She absolutely loved it, and started reading it once she unwrapped it. It definitely helps to add some humor to a negative situation and help the person laugh and say "well, as bad as this job is, at least it isn't ____"

The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is because I did not actually read it.

4 out of 5 stars 50 jobs   December 28, 2007
This was a huge hit as a gag gift in my office. However from a substantive point of view I found a couple jobs that were pretty bad that weren't listed, and some in the book aren't that terrible. Still, its an inexpensive book that will please.

5 out of 5 stars Very funny and well-researched!   September 18, 2007
After reading this hilarious book, I thanked my lucky stars for even those jobs that I had considered the worst jobs in history.

I love this book because of the actual details of these awful positions, including pay, required skills, "benefits," and drawbacks!

I purchased this book as a birthday gift for my friend's son who actually beleives that he will rule the world without a high school diploma. Forewarned is forearmed!

5 out of 5 stars Fun gift   May 3, 2007
This is a really fun little book with catchy photos and a humorous approach to life's less glorious experiences in the working world. It'll give you a better perspective on your own job, too-- I keep it on my bookshelf at the office. Another similar book just came out-- "Odd Jobs: 101 Ways to Make an Extra Buck." It includes many of the same details for all sorts of jobs (the good, the bad, and the really bizarre). Either book, or both together, makes a great graduation gift.

3 out of 5 stars 50 worse books than this...   January 30, 2007

But it's a cute office book. The pictures are nice and the writing is comical.

I bought this for my fiance' because he always complains about his job! He thought it was funny. Now, I think it's tossed on the floor somewhere in his office.

For the price, good book if you need a small office gift.
