4 out of 5 stars Great general reference - novice to intermediate level   May 20, 1999

Very good general reference. Includes all the common things you'd expect. Covers film developing very well, including advanced techniques. Covers print making extremely well, from basic through advanced. It's here the book truly excels. Fiber and RC paper techniques, the differences and similarities, etc are well covered. Dodging, burning, toning, hand coloring, portfolio printing, mounting, etc, are covered in enough detail so a novice can actually apply the techniques decribed, and persons more advanced will doubtless learn a few new tricks. Has a good background section.
