Nice slice of New York history October 10, 2007

This book has some great old photos that give a real sense of what Manhattan was like back when. The fact is, it's a lot like visiting another planet because the changes in the city are so marked and so ubiquitous. The only shortcoming (if it is one) is that the book isn't long enough.
