Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Controlled photography is the subject of this classic guide to studio work, now completely revised. The first half of the book considers the studio itself, with ideas for a professional setup. The relationship of technique to final effect is explored in the second half of the book, from classic subjects to novel shots. 100 color photographs; 175 illustrations; 75 diagrams.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars My Photography Bible!!!   July 9, 1998
14 out of 15 found this review helpful

Detailed, precise and easy to understand information about: professional view-cameras, (medium and 35mm cameras are not the focus of attention of this book, but you'll find some information about them); pro equipment; films; lighting techniques; portraits (very good lighting guide - all kinds of lightings!!!); still-lifes; copy work; special effects... EVERYTHING... Doesn't have lots of information about developing and printing. Above all things it's a very creative book, from a very talented and creative photographer. It's a book for those who have some knowledge of photography and want to know more about studio and professional work.
