Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
In the popular tradition of Picture L.A., Picture Cape Town, and Picture Mumbai, this book contains images by nine youths from Mexico City who photographed what they consider to be their city's distinctive landmarks. The images, combined with quotes from the photographers in both English and Spanish, evoke ideas that challenge readers' conventional notions of what landmarks are and invite readers to consider how they are marked by the communities in which they live.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful and moving pictures of Mexico City   September 5, 2003
I really loved this book. It has black and white photos of different areas of Mexico City, all taken by Mexican children. It also includes captions for each picture in Spanish and English. I lived in Mexico a long time ago and "Picture Mexico City" really captured the soul of the city, and the Mexican spirit. The Getty Conservation Institute is contributing so much to the world and its children with the "Picture" project, and I hope they can continue it with other cities.
