Product Description Businessman Mark Ireland’s father was Richard Ireland, a deeply spiritual minister and renowned psychic and medium who counted Mae West among his famous clients. While he loved his father, Mark followed a more conventional path in pursuit of mainstream success—until the wrenching death of his youngest son. This unexpected tragedy plunges Mark into the spiritual world of psychics and mediums in a frantic attempt to communicate with the dead. His defenses and pragmatic mindset begin to fade as he remembers premonitions on the day of his son’s death. He consults a number of well-known mediums and is struck by the remarkably accurate information their readings provide. Mark first meets with Allison Dubois, the subject of NBC’s hit show Medium, and later participates in a single-blind lab experiment with medium Laurie Campbell, filmed for a Discovery Channel feature. He then enters a new dimension of personal paranormal experience, as his own psychic awareness begins to unfold. This dramatic story of a father’s unbearable loss and his discovery of life after death offers hope to the bereaved and compelling evidence that death may not be the end.

Soul Shift: Finding Where the Dead Go September 28, 2008 I found this to be a very interesting and informative look of life after death. I can personally connect with the writer on his loss of someone close and longs to know if their loved one is ok and are they really still with us. Mark has shown that the human spirit lives on after the body has departed this earth. I would recommend this book for anyone who is trying to find closure and some healing on the loss of someone they love.

2008's best 'Psychic' Book!!! August 31, 2008 The 'journey' begins with the loss of Mark's youngest son, Brandon. To his advantage, Mark Ireland knew just where to go for answers. His own father, Richard Ireland was a well known psychic-medium, who had appeared on The Jack Parr Show 'NKA The Tonight Show' and The Steve Allen Show. Yet for most of his life, Mark really had no need for what his own dad was well known for, again that of a psychic-medium. Upon the death of his son Brandon, Mark embarked upon a race in search of life after death. He wanted and needed answers, thus seeking out the wisdom and knowledge not only from some top U.S. Mediums, but from fraternal family members as well. Mark Ireland has written far beyond anyones expectations, with regards to the loss of a loved one. Religion, for most, teaches us very little if nothing, as to how we will FEEL, upon the death of someone close to us. Not only did I feel the words written in this book, it has left me 'begging' for more! And I'm looking forward to Mark's second book (soon to come).
CONNECTING WITH THE "OTHER SIDE" August 27, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The universe has unpleasant, shocking ways of fully awakening us to the stark importance of the mystery of being. In January 2004, Mark Ireland's life of worldly success was profoundly shaken by the untimely and tragic death of his youngest son. From this sudden loss, Mark and his family were sent spiraling from a safe, comfortable life style toward an existence orbiting ever closer to the core mystery of being. Soul Shift documents Mark's unique journey as he is thrust into a challenging, new phase of life. In squarely facing that challenge, he garners solid spiritual insights transcending the conventional explanations of secular materialism and mainstream religion. As he probes for evidence of his son's continued existence, he reconnects with a profoundly unique spiritual inheritance and discovers the depths of his compassion for those burdened by the loss of loved ones. His fascinating book has the potential of performing a "soul-shifting," transformation on readers everywhere.
Souler Telescope August 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
With "Soul Shift", Mark Ireland has woven a tapestry of immense grief, a strong case for continuum in relationships beyond the lifeline, and a new idea which ties the physical world with the spiritual. Using the common "thread" of celestial vibration, he concludes the possibility of organic life after death within the confines of modern particle physics. He has proffered a unique and believable concept for mankind to consider on the way to an enlightened understanding of our home in the galaxy. Not unlike Galileo, he gifts us with a telescopic tool for pondering the psychic universe.
