Product Description Jason Scott is at the top of the bull riding game, on his way to a winning season. Along with his traveling partner, Andy Baxter, he's riding hard on the circuit, working around the country with all of the other bull riders and bull fighters, living the good life. The only thing he wishes he had is Bax, but he's afraid to take the step that would make them more than friends, worried that it will ruin everything. When a terrible accident leaves Jason unable to see, his whole life goes south. Jason decides to chuck it all, determined to go home and hide at his momma's ranch. Bax has other ideas. He wants to make sure his best friend doesn't give up, and he hatches a plan that stuns Jason and makes their friends and family think he's crazy. With the help of the other bull riders and a very persistent bull fighter named Coke, Bax convinces Jason to give life one more try. With Jason cautiously learning to hope, and his relationship with Bax going to the next level, life gets pretty complicated. Everyone gets in on the project, from Jason's strong-willed mother to an entire ranch full of children, all of them working to help Jason do what he loves. Will Bax be able to convince Jason that he can still ride, even if he's blind to everything the world has to offer?

Jason Scott is having a good time with his life right now, but there is a fly in the ointment. As of today, Jason is on his way to the finals on the rodeo circuit and his sponsors are being good to him. However, as good as it is to travel and room with his best friend Bax, it's also a damn torture. Being so close to the man Jason lusts after and not being able to do anything is bound to drive him nuts. Life, however, has other plans for Jason - plans that he might not understand or be able to live with. As Jason is finishing one his best rides of the season, he ends up getting slammed in the head by the bull's horns, leaving him in a bad way.
As Jason discovers that his injury has left him blind, he sinks into despair. However, Bax will have none of that, even if it means putting his career on hold. As Bax sets out to help Jason cope with his injury, Jason discovers that his interest in his best friend is returned. But will this be enough to keep Jason from giving up?
Andy Baxter has been on the bull-riding circuit for a long time, long enough to know that he is getting too old for it. But traveling around with Jason is not something he is ready to give up, especially since it gives him the chance to at least look at Jason, even if he'd rather do more. When Jason gets injured and it looks like his blindness might be permanent, Bax will do anything to help his friend cope with the changes in his life, while showing him that some things can remain the same. For Bax's plan to work, however, he will need to enlist the help of their rodeo friends and convince Jason that his life is not over.
Blind Ride - Season One is a good read that will pull at your heart-strings while it turns you on! BA Tortuga does a wonderful job of creating in Jason and Bax characters that will catch your attention and keep you turning the pages. It was very entertaining, as well as emotional, to see Jason and Bax circle each other and eventually find their way to loving each other in the midst of the turmoil caused by Jason's injury. The passionate moments between the men are lava-hot, while the emotional roller-coaster of Jason living blind and moving on will leave you wishing you could fix things for him. Be warned that Blind Ride - Season One ends on a cliff hanger that will leave you eagerly awaiting the sequel to this book! Get yourself Blind Ride - Season One when you are looking for a steamy cowboy romance that will heat you up while snagging your heart!

Ride the bulls cowboys! May 13, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This one from Tortuga is pretty emotional, sad but ultimately uplifting. There is something about Tortuga's cowboys which pulls me right into their stories. Jason and Bax have been best of pals for a long time, always looking out for each other, especially during their dangerous bull rides. They are afraid to give in to their attraction for each other, which could be a stigma for Jason's career as this young man is a star bull rider with sponsors. But one terrible tragic accident changes everthing and here it is almost painful to read as Jason loses his sight and zest for life itself. How could a blind cowboy ever hope to cope, least of all ride again ? But Bax is not ever going to give up on his blind cowboy. Together with a closely knitted brotherhood of cowboys in the rodeo circle Jason may just have a second chance. Jason and Bax are appealing, their love strong and touching. The supporting cast of cowboys, including one extended family and one old timer named Coke who has seen it all, certainly enliven the story. As this is M/M erotica, the sex is ofcourse hot as the 2 cowboys explore the possibilities. As the title suggests, this is Season One and I certainly look forward to Season Two.
