Seekers,The Quest Begins - Amazing & Captivating! August 5, 2008 Seekers is an amazing and captivating book. My daughter found it to be a very heart warming and touching life journey story about the lives of three very different bear cubs, who struggle to survive in the wilderness alone. She could not tear away from reading the book even though she was sleepy! She just can't wait to read the sequel. The book was great!
the coolest sieres since harry potter and warriors August 2, 2008 Erin Hunter is one of the most amazing writers of the 21st cencury (exuse my spelling) and i would read any book by her if i were you.
Pleasently Surprised July 30, 2008 As an avid Warrior Cats fan, I must confess that I went into this book with a sense of foreboding. I did not expect it whatsoever to satisfy me. Much to my surprise, though, Tui Sutherland (one of the Erin Hunters) really came through. The book had a feel of Warriors, but it branched off, making for a very interesting story from the vantage points of three seperate bear cubs. The story was written well, with a good feel to it and an interesting plot. I definitely give it five stars.
This fell short July 18, 2008 This book seemed to fall short for my 13-year-old granddaughter. She is an avid fan of Erin Hunter's Warrior series', and has read them all. She really looked forward to the beginning of this series, but said she "just didn't get into it". Perhaps because she's so interested in the Warriors books, she's not able to make the jump from cats to bears.
Good writing July 14, 2008 This book details the very real problems bears face in the wild. Starvation, ice melting, other territorial bears; although it's filled with numerous losses, it's what goes on in the real world. Minus the fantasy parts, of course :) Tui Sutherland does a good job of sounding like Erin Hunter and the writing is great. It's a series I'll follow in the future.
