Product Description A funny thing happened... Unlike most men of his acquaintance, Gregory Bridgerton believes in true love. And he is convinced that when he finds the woman of his dreams, he will know in an instant that she is the one. And that is exactly what happened. Except... She wasn't the one. In fact, the ravishing Miss Hermione Watson is in love with another. But her best friend, the ever-practical Lady Lucinda Abernathy, wants to save Hermione from a disastrous alliance, so she offers to help Gregory win her over. But in the process, Lucy falls in love. With Gregory! Except... Lucy is engaged. And her uncle is not inclined to let her back out of the betrothal, even once Gregory comes to his senses and realizes that it is Lucy, with her sharp wit and sunny smile, who makes his heart sing. And now, on the way to the wedding, Gregory must risk everything to ensure that when it comes time to kiss the bride, he is the only man standing at the altar...

Julia Quinn Rocks! October 1, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I tend to find authors I like and then read everything I can get my hands on that they have written. I found a website that had authors recomending other authors. Julia Quinn was highly recommended by some writer. I got hooked on Julia's books. Her books are entertaining, witty, and addicting. Her characters are lovable and memorable. I really enjoy finding them again in short stories or another seiries.
This book in particular I loved because it was about the last un-married Bridgerton. If you read the Bridgerton series in order you get to watch Gregory grow up. After reading the negative post I went back and re-read the book. I still love it. Gregory is wonderful and flawed and sweet and warm. Julia knows how to create characters who come alive.
Julia ROCKS and I can't wait for whatever she gives us next.
An avid reader, L.A.M.
On the Way to the Wedding September 2, 2007 I have loved all of Julia Quinn's books -- this one is the last one in this 8-series and I read them in order. I loved the first one and didn't see how the others could compare. Each one was great!
One of My Favorites from the Series August 19, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm surprised by many of the reviews of this story. I've read all in the series and found this one to be the most memorable. I loved the story and how it was set up. Loved the characters! Highly recommend!
I'm going to miss this family June 15, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've really enjoyed Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series and will miss them. I actually had a lot of fun reading this novel, but as a romance it is ultimately a failure. The hero (Gregory) spent more than half the novel in love with a woman who is not the heroine. When Gregory finally realizes that he actually loves Lucy (heroine) I thought the story would finally take off, but it was not to be as it is derailed by a completely unbelievable ending. And the epilogue was just absurd. There were some lovely scenes in the novel, but it just doesn't work overall.
I LOVED this book. April 1, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am surprised to see so many negative reviews on this one. Wow wow wow. I just thought this was fun and exciting and extremely romantic. Escapist reading at its finest. Yes, it took the hero some time to figure out he loved Lucy (men can be so stupid). But once he reached that moment...Boy, did he fall hard. I was totally swept up in Gregory's love for Lucy. And so happy for Lucy, who never believed she would be loved in that way. This one was a lot of fun...check it out.
