Product Description In her exhilarating debut novel, Kresley Cole captures the drama, passion, and boundless adventure of the high seas -- as one fiery lass finds herself caught in a tide of torrid romance. Raised as a free spirit aboard her American sea captain father's majestic clipper ship, willful Nicole Lassiter has never encountered an obstacle she couldn't overcome -- until she meets Captain Derek Sutherland. His sizzling kisses leave her longing, but after they share a night of passion, his subsequent disdain makes her blood boil. Nicole vows to take her revenge -- by helping her father beat Sutherland in a high-stakes competition: the Great Circle Race from England to Australia. Nicole's scheme is thrown overboard after her father is wrongly imprisoned, yet she remains undaunted -- taking to the high seas with her father's ship. But a storm wrecks her plans, and she finds herself a virtual prisoner aboard Sutherland's vessel. And while her mind tells her she should escape, her body urges her to surrender...

Another good one!! August 20, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Every time I read a novel written by Ms. Cole, I become more impressed. I have now read all of her Immortal series, which were all fantastic, now I have completed "The Captain of all Pleasures." I can't believe I have just recently discovered this author. She is on top of my auto-buy list. This was wonderful of book. I loved all the characters in this novel. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. Towards the end of the story, I must admit I was a little nervous, but the ending was well worth reading this book in one sitting. I can't wait to read "The Prince of Pleasures.
started slow March 3, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
but picked up in the end. I really enjoy her historicals, i don't think it was as good as the book that comes after it but overall not bad.
Girl keeps running away and uninteresting characters. January 3, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I loved this author's book "A Hunger Like No Other," so I thought I'd try this book which I believe was her first book. I was disappointed and cannot recommend it. The two main characters did not hold my interest. Nicole and Derek were attracted to each other. Each time they were together and their relationship started to grow to the next level, she would run off and hide. He was miserable and failed to find her each time except at the end. This separation cycling annoyed me. Also, there were some conflicts caused by lack of direct communication between them. One would say something and the other thought it meant something different. I don't like novels using this form of conflict development. Sexual content: strong.
Better than expected... December 8, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
First book I've read by this author... won't be the last. Enjoyed the story flow - just as I was thinking that it seemed slow, the book picked up pace. Enjoyed how Nicole kicked her C'tain and punched him in the face. She didn't hold back on her emotions. Liked how Derek wasn't afraid to admit his mistake and followed her. Look forward to reading the sequel.
looking forward to more July 31, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a good book. Now that I have read several of Kresley Cole's books I can say I just like her style and LOVE her sex scenes. She's the best when it comes to that. I could use just a bit more humor in her books but overall this is a good book if you like sexual tension, possessive men and steamy love scenes.
