Product Description
Revised and updated throughout, including all-new chapters specifically for beginners and for women giving anal pleasure to men, The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women is a comprehensive and creative guide to anal pleasure. Tristan Taormino offers the kind of informed reassurance that can encourage even an absolute beginner to explore this nerve-rich part of the body, either alone or with a partner of any gender. Anal sex enthusiasts may need no encouragement, but will welcome Taormino’s sense of adventure and her detailed discussions of toys, fantasy play, and positions. Beginning by dispelling common myths about anal eroticism, Taormino goes on to illustrate anatomy, give tips on building trust and communicating desires, and provide reliable, easy-to-understand information on safety, preparation, hygiene, and much more. This new edition has been substantially expanded and revised to include new information on masturbation, anal health, BDSM and anal sex, and many other topics. In a new feature, Taormino answers actual reader questions.

Perfect for the tentative wife! July 22, 2008 Ms. Taormino does a wonderful job of holding the hand of the female apprehensive about the idea of anal sex! This is the anal sex 101 book written by a woman for a woman. It starts with the basics and continues on with suggestions / recommendations on how to get maximum enjoyment from this naughty pleasure. The emphasis is three-fold: communication, time and lubricant.
I bought this book for my wife to rouse her interest in the subject. After about a couple weeks, with the addition of appropriate lubricant and anal plug, my wife is experiencing some of the best multiple pleasures in the 20 years of our marriage! And, obviously, I'm happy with it :) Great for the sex life!

Bought this book for my wife, very apprehensive at first. In the end she really liked it. Now just have to turn thoughts into actions.
my wife now loves it! March 11, 2008 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
My wife wouldn't consider this subject until i bought this book for her. i never said a word about but i knew she had read it when she called me into the bedroom one afternoon and there she was, on all fours, bottoms up and she said "open my back door and come on in!" wow! we did it that way six times that afternoon, different positions of course! her bottom is tops!
A must have!! January 14, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
To any couples looking to understand and perfect anal sex and eliminate the pain, this book is a must read. It answers all of your questions, and even some you couldn't think of. I learned that it is not a good idea to pee in her butt, lol....that is just one of the questions that is answered in this book, and it is the dumbest! My wife and i found it entertaining and informative, and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed in it, if information on anal sex is what you are looking for.
For Absolute Beginners October 16, 2007 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
I am no sexual dynamo. I consider myself rather conservative and have had a limited number of sexual partners even still at the age of 35. I lucked out and was dating a wonderful guy. We discussed anal and my response was a quick and hurried, "No." Exit only thank you. I was really scared and thought it would be painful, etc.
Like I said, my bf was a good guy and he didn't make a fuss but it was in the back of my mind. I figured trillions of gay men all over the world and nobody complains, maybe it's not so bad. Nerd that I am I bought this book and decided to research the subject privately. I didn't want to get my bf's hopes up.
I go too far as it is in posting this review at all since Amazon no longer allows you to post anonymously. I give it only four stars because I never finished the book. I started reading it and within the first few chapters I learned so much. It put me at ease to the point where I really felt reassured and eventually felt I was ready to try it. The anatomy lesson, the whys and hows, all those things I always wondered but was afraid to ask were answered almost immediatley and the author was knowledgable yet not out to overwhelm you with her prowess and exploits - at least in the first half that I read.
I finally did try it and without giving too much away, I'm exceedingly glad I did. This book has taught me so much and set me on the road to learning more about myself. I wouldn't go so far as to say everybody should do this. Obviously every person has to decide for themselves what their comfort level is. If you are open to learn more on your own however, I would say this is an excellent book to get started with. I highly recommend it.
