5 out of 5 stars Essential guide for the commercial photographic wannabe   March 7, 1998

Jack Reznicki gives us an exciting, informative and humorous window into illustrative photography with his classic book. Rich in technical detail and liberally sprinkled with his own (excellent) photographs, this book is a must for those who wish to attempt serious studio work. With an emphasis on people, in thematic and mood inspiring settings, the book not only provides guidance on technical perfection, but also addresses the oft overlooked (but essential) "soft" issues of this kind of photography, such as dealing with a studio full of tired, boisterous and bored kids. It is hoped that an updated and revised edition will be released in the future.
