Inspiring!!! October 5, 2008 As a rookie firefighter, it was recommended that I read this book. So I did and it changed my whole view on the greatest job in the world. I highly recomend this book to anyone who is a firefighter that wants to bring back the lost pride in our fire service.
A must read for all firefighter's October 3, 2008 This is one of the best books I have ever read. Chief Lasky brings it back to the basic's of why we do what we do and to remind us to set the example. Have pride in our department, ourselves, and our communitiy. This book should be a must read for everyone in the brotherhood. Espescially new recruits.
Pride & Ownership A Firefighters love of the Job March 7, 2008 Chief Lasky has the nailed it. You were called to this job or you're a mutt and need to work somewhere else. Thank you for pointing out this job takes not only skill but integrity, honor and pride. Amen
Inspiring February 23, 2008 I had the opportunity to attend a seminar by the author which prompted me to buy the book. This contains much of what was in the seminar and has really inspired me to reach for the next level of pride and professionalism in my career as a firefighter. This is a must have for anyone serious about the fire service. Extremely helpful ideas on how to make the most of the greatest job in the world!
