Gerard James Butler (born November 13, 1969) is a Scottish actor and singer, best known for his roles as King Leonidas in 300 and as the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera. Butler began his career acting in stage plays. His first roles were in Coriolanus and in the stage version of Trainspotting. In 1997, he landed his first film role as Archie Brown, John Brown s brother in Mrs. Brown alongside Judi Dench and Billy Connolly. That same year, he appeared in a minor role as a sailor on the HMS Devonshire in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. He followed this with several appearances in various independent films and several television series in the UK, including a role in the series "Lucy Sullivan Is Getting Married" and the films The Cherry Orchard, One More Kiss, and Harrisons Flowers.

Oh. My. Gosh. It came in the mail today and frankly, I am all a-swoon!
I'm telling you--someone was thinking of a way to make money. Make Gerry the subject of a calendar and you've got instant riches. In addition, be creative and give the ladies what they want--all Gerry! Who really wants a month with blocked out days in a Gerry calendar--a waste of space! Way down at the bottom in two lines, provide single letters for the days of the week and put the appropriate dates under the days. That way, the entire page, minus two lines at the bottom, can focus on the manly beauty of that Scotsman, Gerald Butler, also half-Irish. Oh, I do go on, but I am one of his biggest fans.
It's a large calendar: 17 inches high and 12 inches wide with just one of those inches going to calendar dating business. PLUS!!! On the back are 3 x 2 inch stickers of each calendar picture. Wow, I can paste these in my photo album and tell friends they are from Gerry. Just kidding. Not. Stating now, my two faves are January and February, the smiling Gerry.
My day was special today.
Counting The Days Until January 2009 September 22, 2008
I was amazed and impressed of the service Amazon.com gave me when I ordered my calendar of Gerard Butler. My calendar is everything I thought it would be. I am counting the days until the January 1, 2009 when I can start using my new calendar. The images chosen for the different months are excellent. If you are a Gerard Butler fan, this is the calendar to have so you can see him each day.

This Gerry Butler calendar is very nice. Large. Big Pictures. My only complaint is I think it could have more unique pictures. The pictures used are not new. There are so many really great more recent photos of Gerry. But hey it is Gerry so it's still a keeper!

Good choice of photos, this calendar will certainly add some fun to making my morning coffee when I hang it in the kitchen next year. Not that I really needed stickers, but there is a note on the front that says "12 peel off stickers at the back." There are no stickers, just a preview of the 12 calendar photographs.
As to the note "...not suitable for children over the age of 3 years," they might add "dangerous for females over the age of puberty."
