Constantly Inspirational December 5, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Freeman Patterson's words and photographs have been a constant inspiration and motivation for me as a beginning photographer. His belief in exploration make the craft of photography more than just a method of documentation, and his in-depth explanation of how to apply basic visual design principles to photographs have been invaluable to me in my development as an artist. This and all his books are wonderful, and I use them all the time for both ideas and advice.
Nothing useful November 4, 2007 0 out of 8 found this review helpful
Well with my respect to the author Mr.Patterson, there is no benefit in this book. The picture on its cover falled me and I should not. I am not a fan of writing reviews but after I get this book I was so angry to find such book with no value to both beginner or amature photographer, so I decided to warn the poor photographers like me to save their money for something better. Its more of a philosophy book than something of value in term of photography. I am so amazed how this author found words to fill 168 pages without benefit.
