Top British Cats December 5, 2007
This book is an interesting study of British cat breeds. To those unfamiliar with the cat fancy, show cats have to meet a written standard. U.S. and British standards are different. This is quite evident in the photos of persians and oriental shorthairs. Also the photo selection seems random. There is no theme or consistency. It is just a hodgepodge of informal scenes laced with a few studio shots. The cat care info is given in tidbits next to each photo.
This book is mainly for the serious cat enthusiast who loves all kinds of cat books regardless of quality or usefullness (like me). But for those who want a more accurate study of purebred cats, I would suggest the Cat Fancier's Association Complete Cat Book to see some proven top cats.
