Product Description
This first book in an exciting new series offers a lively and contemporary re-examination of a classic subject. It’s geared to young photographers who are having fun with their first digital SLR cameras, and want results that look like the stylish photos in hip magazines and ads. Filled with practical photographic advice and attractive, inspiring images, Baby Photography NOW! helps parents master the skills they need to get the most natural-looking shots of their baby. Learn about the essential equipment, lighting techniques, poses that work especially well, and the best ways to capture precious moments during naptime, bathtime, playtime, and special occasions. There are plenty of expert tips on post-production, polishing the image with Photoshop, designing an album, and creating gift mementoes, too!

Good ideas September 17, 2008 I feel this book has good suggestions and tips for when, where and how to shoot the best and the most informative photographs of a baby. Trying to capture the mode of the scene and the relationships between the baby and parents and siblings provided me with a number of new ideas to use with my grandchildren.
There are two fairly small complaints that I have about the book. First, as I have stated in other reviews, the rigid format of two pages per topic leaves quite a few of the sections leaving you wanting more. Converse, some the sections are stretched to fill the space. Second, the last few topics, canvas prints, designing an album, book publishing, and gift mementos are completed either using outside services or third party products rather than the how-to nature of the rest of the book.
Overall, the book is worth the cost in that it gives a good outline for when and how to photograph babies and children.
Excellent photos with good techniques June 21, 2008 I bought this book for a friend who is having a new born baby. Both of the parents just bought a Digital SLR camera and want to learn some basic technique while photographing the baby and the pregnant mother. This book provides the exact things they are looking for. Inside in this book includes excellent photos and provides easy to learn techniques. My friend is very happy about this book. What's more, it's also a great book to put on the coffee table for guest to read. The photos are that gorgeous!
