Great Book! October 1, 2008 I'm just getting back into photography after quite a few years. This book was a great refresher, and now includes all of the basics of digital photography. The pictures and quality of the book are outstanding.
Great book for people beginning studying photography September 21, 2008 I am currently enrolled in the first photography class at my local community college. I prefer this book to our school text. It is extremely well-organized and explains the basic concepts of photography in a succint, easy-to-understand fashion. It is very broad in scope - covering briefly everything from types of lenses to the rule of thirds, a design concept commonly used in photography. Also, its explanations of concepts such as aperture and shutter speed are short and very helpful. I love this book and bought a copy for a present as well.
