Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Great Book!   October 1, 2008
I'm just getting back into photography after quite a few years. This book was a great refresher, and now includes all of the basics of digital photography. The pictures and quality of the book are outstanding.

5 out of 5 stars Great book for people beginning studying photography   September 21, 2008
I am currently enrolled in the first photography class at my local community college. I prefer this book to our school text. It is extremely well-organized and explains the basic concepts of photography in a succint, easy-to-understand fashion. It is very broad in scope - covering briefly everything from types of lenses to the rule of thirds, a design concept commonly used in photography. Also, its explanations of concepts such as aperture and shutter speed are short and very helpful. I love this book and bought a copy for a present as well.
