Low Light Success! January 28, 2008 Even though this book is 9 years old and written for film photographers I still got a lot out of it.
It provided me with great instructions how to take all sorts of low-light images and covers some of the techniques involved. I shoot a lot of low-light events and the things I learned from this book will be very important to the improvment of my work.
The book it filled with wonderful photographs that relate to the technique being discussed.
The core information in this book is extremely helpful and valuable. This book will be a valuable reference tool for me for many years. (I would love to see an updated version of this book though.)
Learn Night Shooting - Excellent Book January 24, 2008 If you have trouble shooting night shots, this is the book to help you become a better night shooter. The author made it easy to understand. He provided many pictures with all information to grasp what it took to make the shot. He gave filters used, f stops, exposure times, iso speeds, etc with most photos. He talked about equipment needed, light & exposures, and subjects & techniques. Excellent book.
Good book but I wouldn't call it the "complete" guide December 13, 2007 I especially like the sample photos...great examples of what you can do in low light. The time of day and camera setting suggestions are helpful. I wouldn't call this complete because it's still a bit too high-level. It's a good start though to get you started but practice is the only way to really understand what settings work when. If you're looking for something more advanced you'll get through this book quickly and still want more.
a good book November 26, 2007 i like this author a lot. the book is very clear and great for ideas.
