 WOW, What a beautiful book October 4, 2007
I bought this book as a gift for my aunt and uncle who are real horse lovers and ride almost daily. They could not stop raving about the book and the beautiful photos of the various breeds covered. A real treasure for horse lovers everywhere.

This book is a real masterpiece of fine art photography. Each page is reminiscent of a Rembrandt painting. It will be loved by horse lovers, as well as artists and designers, or just appreciated for its sheer beauty alone. Presenting each breed -- and the diversity is amazing -- with such a pure, controlled background allows one to see all the beauty of each horse and its diverse cultural trappings, and to concentrate on the tiniest details.

This book is an amazing celebration of the horse and their people. It really takes hours to appreciate this book in one sitting before wanting to do it again! I love this book and recommend it to anyone who appreciates the beauty and intelligence of this incredible animal.

I set out to purchase a book full of photos of horses for my grandchild who is just learning to ride. I found this book. Somehow, each photograph in the book seems more beautiful than the last. I bought my first copy at Borders for $60.00. I bought the next two copies---one for me and one for a friend--- for less than $40.00 each from Amazon. Even if you don't care at all for horses, the photography and artistry in this book will make it a pleasure for anyone to own.
