5 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!!!!   May 12, 2008
This book was the darkest and grittiest book in the series, filled with twists and turns. Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson travel into the labyrinth upon finding an invasion route from Zeus' Fist into camp. To prevent Luke from getting Ariadne's String, they must find a way to get it from Daedalus and his workshop, at the heart of the labyrinth. Along the way, they fight many monsters, like Kampe, the Sphinx, and a three-bodied man. Nico plays a major roll in this book as son of _ _ _ _ _ (I don't want to spoil it!) The best book in the series, this is a must-read for fans of Percy Jackson!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Edge of your seat reading   May 11, 2008
I love this series. The lesson is friendship and following through with something no matter how hard it gets is a great lesson for kids. And plain good reading for any age.

5 out of 5 stars best one yet   May 11, 2008
This is by far the best Percy Jackson book yet. My only problem is that their not long enough.

3 out of 5 stars Lacks something that the past books have   May 11, 2008
13 out of 33 found this review helpful

I'm extremely obsessed with this series, but the 4th installment was lacking a few things. Although it had a good plot line, there was never a moment when i was thinking "AHH WHAT GREEK MYTH IS THIS I KNOW IT I KNOW IT" like i was in the last book. There wasn't enough Greek mythology influence in it. Also, character development was weak. Very weak, in fact. I hardly feel any difference between the 6th grade Percy Jackson and the high school Percy Jackson, and I expected there to be a lot more maturity and emotions between Annabeth and him. Although it's an intriguing and fun read, it was definitely missing something compared to the other books. Hopefully the 5th book will be as good as the first three.

5 out of 5 stars fresh idea with a action-packed story   May 10, 2008
This series was a blast to read. The story line wsa a great, new idea. There were plenty of twists and turns to keep me reading it. I pre-orderd this book a month or two ago, got it, and read straight through it, finishing at 2:00 AM.
I highly reccommend this series to all young adults.
