2 out of 5 stars Not Very good   October 7, 2002

This book might have been good when it came out, but now is just outdated. Some of its facts are wrong, and the writing is somewhat crude for enthusiasts. The pictures are wonderful though.

1 out of 5 stars Bad Roller Coaster Book   August 2, 2001

This book is one of the worst about roller coasters I've ever seen. It is grossly misinformed when it comes to many rides and only has closed circuit rides. That leaves out Boomerangs and Shuttle Loops etc. Do no buy this book!

5 out of 5 stars Great Coaster Book Full of Pictures!   July 26, 2001

This coaster book is really great it has dozens of pictures you can't stop looking at, A great introduction and loads of information, Top 20 coasters, coaster glossary plus info on coaster technology. I love this book and i can't stop reading enough. You can flip through the pages for hours just staring at the amazing pictures and imformation the author added to this book. You must get this book! A must-read!

2 out of 5 stars Nice Catalog   March 30, 2001

This book is a nice catalog of coasters, but little else. Not very substantive. Rutherford's later book, The American Roller Coaster is a much better value.
