Product Description
Busy machines for busy kids!
"Diggers are good at dig, dig, digging, scooping up the earth and lifting and tipping. They make huge holes with their dig, dig, digging. They can work all day."
Trucks and tractors, fire engines and helicopters-they all like to work hard. But after a long, happy day of beep-beeping and vroom-vrooming, even the busiest engines need to rest. This bright, bouncy, noise-filled book brings together all the vehicles that children adore.

Needs a refrain July 18, 2008 My 2 year old adores this book. I like the funky words, they are fun to say/sing. I find the bulldozer image sad but true. The words can be sung to "Daddy's taking us to the zoo tomorrow" - in fact, I'm pretty sure that's where the authors borrowed the rhythm. However, it would be nice if there was a refrain.
Best book ever! April 24, 2008 My 18-month-old loves this book. Fabulous illustrations, excellent writing. My son especiallly likes the alliteration and repitition. For example: "dig dig digging.." "scoop scoop scooping." A great addition to our library.
So So March 9, 2008 This author chose a wierd selection of words to describe some of the sounds that the machines make. I don't like to read it because it reads wierd but my 2yr old son likes it alright. It is not his favorite either. The good thing it does teach is the "ing" variances of words like dig, dig, digging and squelch, squelch, squelching. A the end of each description it says "and they can work all day". My son has caught on to this usage of words so he has learned something from it.
One of our favorites October 8, 2007 Our 2 year old son loves this book. It's the first book he reaches for before he goes to sleep. We read it every night. The pictures are bold and bright and there's lots for our son to learn and to talk about for each piece of equipment. This is a great addition to a toddler boy's bookshelf.
Wonderful book June 23, 2007 This is a wonderful book. My boys want to read it multiple times each day. Even when I'm not reading to him, my younger son sits and just flips through the pages, looking at the pictures. It is a definite hit in our house!
