This book made it quite easy to quickly determine what our options were for travelling between cities in Europe. We could easily look at a country map and get the timetable numbers for the routes we were interested in. On the timetables it showed times for all the major stops and what kind of train it was. We then went on to use internet sites (which we got from Rick Steves guides) to get detailed information about ticket costs and levels of service. MUCH faster way to get all the options quickly than to use some web site that returns limited information!
