Product Description Panasonic ER421KC lighted nose/ear hair trimmer. LED light for precision cut. Ergonomically designed stainless steel blade. Wet/dry. Rinses clean. Battery operated.
Amazon.com Product Description The Panasonic ER421KC Nose and Ear Trimmer comes equipped with a built-in, bright, focused light for precise and accurate grooming. You can keep your nose and ears clean and trim without worrying about navigating your nostrils and ear canals in the dark. Designed to be used in or out of the shower, this trimmer can be rinsed under a faucet for quick and easy cleaning. Wet or dry, your nose and ears will be groomed exactly how you like them.
Look and feel your best with Panasonic's impressive line of personal care devices. | Groom unwanted hair from your nose and ears. View larger. | The trimmer's stainless steel blades leave the proper amount and length of hairs to help ensure you still benefit from nature's design. Without some hair in your nose and ears, you increase your chances of inhaling irritants and contracting disease, but your grooming needs are worry free with the ER421KC. Panasonic has also designed this trimmer with a safety cone that guides hair into the blades and protects the skin from direct contact with the rotary trimming system. To properly use your trimmer, turn it on and carefully insert the tip of the outer blade into your nostril or ear canal to trim the hairs. Do not insert the device deeper in your ears or nose than the narrow tip of the outer blade, and avoid applying pressure when using the trimmer because you could run the risk of damaging your skin. If used once a week and properly cleaned, the ER421KC blades should last approximately three years. To properly clean your trimmer, remove the outer blade frame by turning and raising it upward. Detach the inner blade from the outer blade, and wipe them off gently with a tissue to remove hairs, dust, and other debris. Be sure to that the switch is turned off before removing, mounting, or cleaning the blades. The ER421KC is easy to clean because the whole unit can be washed in warm water. Be sure to wipe off any excess water and allow the blades to dry completely before mounting them back onto the trimmer body. Remounting the blades is a breeze -- simply place the inner blade back onto the outer blade, and then place the outer blade onto the body by pushing down gently and twisting clockwise. Good for nose. No use for ear @ the cost of many 'Ouch' from you October 4, 2008 This is the only electronic product I have used for hair trimming for nose. Earlier I used to use scissors. As it used to take a lot of time to trim inside nose, I moved on with this product. All you got to do is just swirl around and in matter of seconds you are done.
Since the interface of this device is round, its of good use to swirl around inside nose. But i got some hair on ear, where neither I could remove with Razor (got some skin chipped couple of times) nor with this device (doesn't reach the hair on edges). This product cannot help remove hair {on} (edges of) ear, may be it could clear hair {in} the ear. But in contrast to nose, many may have more hair on the ear rather than in the ear.
My usage is limited to once / twice in a month. I felt lot of 'ouch' after 15-20 uses. Having battery fully charged might help to some extent, but seriously you would roll into tears after a while (# of uses).
With this product causing more pain, I am back to scissors (bought about 3 years ago and still works like charm). But the sad thing is Panasonic ER421kc didn't last strong for more than 20 uses.
Very good trimmer October 4, 2008 The product is very easy to use. The built in light can be bothersome at times. However, the device trims without ripping or pulling the hairs out. I found the trimmer to be virtually pain free.

My Husband says the Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer works quite well....with no possibility of cutting your nose or ear.
It trims the hair, but the light is useless September 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had owned a previous Panasonic trimmer that lasted for years until the (non- ) blade got dull and it became disposable. This one cuts almost as well, although it does try to yank a hair out by its root every now and then. As others have commented, the light isn't pointed anyplace useful to dispel the darkness in the nose. As for the ear, have you ever tried to look into your own ear canal? Overall, it appears solid, and we have used the device for a few weeks now. The little tiny clear plastic cap that covers the business end of the trimmer is ridiculously easy to lose, compared with the large cap on previous models. Still, it's way better than other brands we tried and had to return such as the "nose plucker" from Sharper Image.
Not good, very painful September 22, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This trimmer is functional. But, not enough power to be effective. It's painful to use. Don't purchase this trimmer if you don't like being in pain. I actually dread using this trimmer, I really need to purchase a better one.
