I Hate This Stuff! July 30, 2008 Do not use this product on an item of clothing that you like...it will not only sort of remove the stain, it will also remove the color. I would not recommend this product nor would I ever purchase/use it again. As a matter of fact, I have never in my life rated any product this low, I usually can find something positive to say about it. If I could give it no or better yet negative stars, I would.
Actually works June 20, 2008 If you apply it to fresh stain it does a very good job :) I tried it twice, (once on a red berry stain) and it removed the stain completely both times
Good Instant Stain Remover June 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Tide to Go Instant Stain Remover is pretty handy when you have an emergency situation on your clothing. It works great on Pen stains, not so much on the greasy, food oil type stains. Best is to use the laundry detergent right away, but in tight situations an Instant Stain Remover sometimes keeps the stain from sticking or clinging to your clothing.
Removes: Soda, Ink, Coffee, Milk, Ice Cream and Orange Juice so far.. DOES NOT Removes: Any HIGH OIL TYPES like, Curry, Salad Dressing (sometimes), Chicken Stew etc.. Mainly, it will take out the stains but still lives a slight mark on the clothing..
I really wanted this product to work... April 29, 2008 I really wanted this product to work, especially based on the Kelly Ripa advertisements that made it look so simple and effective. Alas, I have tried it on very small Ketchup spots, very small tomato-based soup spatters, and finally, today, I tried to remove stains from a Starbucks Green Tea Frappuchino. I have to say I am disappointed in the results. In each case it did lighten the stain significantly, but in none of these cases did it work "as advertised". That is to say, it did not leave my blouse looking like new. It left a still-quite-visible spot each time.
On each occasion, I was wearing either 100% cotton or a cotton/synthetic blend fabric, if that might make a difference.
I will say, at least it didn't make things worse. After pretreating and washing all three spills were completely gone.
I will continue using my Tide To Go pen when these little accidents happen, and maybe I will eventually spill something on myself that it does work on; but at this point I seriously doubt that I will purchase another.
Amazing product April 4, 2008 I keep a Tide to Go stick at home and at my office. It works amazingly well. I have used it on everything from dress slacks to silk ties to all kinds of shirts. I highly recommend it.
