4 out of 5 stars Nice illustrations, good text   March 19, 2002

This book is well-written with explanations of many of the "major big machines" typically seen in and around construction sites. The illustrations are excellent, with attention to detail.

My one complaint is the book's construction. The pages are thinner than most paper pages and tend to tear easily. Also, the covers seem prone to ripping and tearing as well.

4 out of 5 stars my son loves trucks   May 25, 2000

my 2 year old enjoys trucks and likes to sit with his daddy to look at truck books. This book is simple and straightfoward depicting a variety of colorful construction sites and the trucks used for different building methods.
