5 out of 5 stars Get out the tissues!   August 29, 2008
Randy Pausch's book made me laugh out loud and cry - often at the same time. His book is inspirational and makes readers look at their own lives, families, and dreams in a new way. I would suggest this book to everyone, but as a parent of a small child, it hits home especially hard. I would buy this book instead of borrowing it, as it is one to come back to again and again!

5 out of 5 stars Must read   August 29, 2008
Amazing story. If we could all be as positive as Randy the world would be a better place.

5 out of 5 stars Great Book   August 29, 2008
It is one of the great books I have read, very inspirational. Had a lot to learn from it.

5 out of 5 stars The greatest man who ever lived   August 29, 2008
I saw the "oprah" segment and later found the whole speech at Carnegie Melon, and this man changed my life.
I followed the updates at his website and actually cried when the news that Randy had passed away.
I found this man to be my hero and inspiration and I really feel for his family and friends, and I am very sorry that this great man had so little time. I only wish I could have told him somehow how much he mattered to me, a mere stranger far away.
The book is a masterpiece and i have ot on a special place in my bookcase.
I will read it many times and still to this day remember "the last lecture" playing in my head...

This was a brave man, father and inspiration. I only wish I could have met him and said thank you. You will be missed. Greatly.

5 out of 5 stars the last lecture   August 29, 2008
Wonderful book !!! I read this book and enjoyed it so much that I bought two books for each of my grandaughters. My oldest grandaughter (13yrs.) read it in two days. She couldn't put it down and just loved it. The youngest grandaughter is alittle too young(10yrs.)but am saving it for her to read in a few yrs. The book will make you laugh out loud sometimes, maybe tear up a bit, but it's never a depressing read. Randy Pausch was an amazing teacher and how lucky his students were to have had him for their teacher. Not since reading "Tuesdays with Morrie" have I enjoyed a book more.
