This beautiful all-color book was published by The Railroad Press in July 2001. It recently won a 2002 Franklin Award from the Graphic Arts Association for outstanding print quality! This book covers the PRR, RDG, LV and CNJ, mostly in the early 1950's to the mid-'60's. Pennsylvania Railroad steam is in abundance in Enola and Northumberland in the early 1950's. Reading steam and early diesels are shown, along with early diesels of the Lehigh Valley and Central RR of New Jersey. You will find Decapods, Consolidations, Northerns, ALCO FA's, RS3's, RS11's, F3's, FP7's, GP7's and much, much more! This book is filled with a nice variety of classic images from the Anthracite Roads, including a nice mixture of mainline, branchline and yard photos. Anthracite Classics is an 8-1/2 x 11 ALL-COLOR book and contains 48 pages of photos, text, maps and index.
