steering not the best August 23, 2010 Terry Davis (IA - USA) The steering with this scooter was hard for my daughter to get. It was a smooth ride when she was using it. It lasted though some beatings, but getting run over by a car killed the back wheel so not sure if it would gotten easier to steer if she got older, she was 3 years old. It was easy to fold away when not in use.
does not steer August 17, 2010 Guki (King of Prussia, PA) My son, who was two years old at the time, was very happy when he saw the scooter and he was up on it trying to scoot around right away.
However, this scooter does not turn around well what is frustrating and sometimes dangerous since the child cannot move away from obstacles or turn on sidewalk /street corners.
It was easy for my son to balance his weight on it because of the large base; nonetheless because of its limitation he rarely uses it. If my husband had not trashed the box I would have returned it.
I got him a Mini Kick Scooter and this one is so much better, it really steers well the only con is the base that is thin for a first time scooter.
scooter for 5 yr.-old August 14, 2010 jay-pee-emm This is a plastic scooter, very sturdy and cute, and it comes all assembled. Just take it out of the box and a 4 or 5 yr.-old can safely ride it. (It has two front wheels and doesn't require a high degree of balance to ride successfully.) It's pretty small-- just right for a "first scooter", which it is appropriately called.
Great toy but.... July 22, 2010 Shanemara I really love this scooter. I read a lot of reviews before buying it, but I regret getting it because is too big for a 20 month old. I just got it because I read many reviews that was good for a 18mo old as well... Is heavy, to far from the ground. My daughter knows how to play with but because is far from the ground she can't push it and look ahead to see where she is going. But for bigger kids it is awesome, I have seen it with children in the parks and is very strong. Your kid can play with it for a long time.
Great Toy!! July 22, 2010 graham I purchased this scooter for my 4 yr old grandson. It is a great tool in teaching him balance. He wanted a skate board but of course, too young for that.I would recommend this to everyone if they have an active 3-5 yr old.
