not worth much July 17, 2008 I was recently at a book store and was looking thru some magazines and came across a recent addition of a toy magazine. They had current prices of how much action figures are worth and I wanted to see how much this toy was worth. Well, sorry fans but its only worth a measly 14.95. Granted, I bought mine at Wal Mart and bought it because I love the Joker-not for a profit like the greedy sellers who sell this item for 100 and more, and espeically to the sellers who sold it for more then 250. So check your local wal mart, they might have the toy there. Its not worth much now but maybe it'll be worth it in a few years.
PATIENCE PLEASE! July 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I too recently came across 3 of these at a local Wal-Mart about a week ago. I new that my patience would pay off. And that's the only advice that I can give to each and every one of you. Just be patient and you will find one ( if you haven't already ). I agree 110% with the other majority of reviewers on this topic. Scalpers are a serious issue. Especially to all of us out there who just want to collect for pure fun. DO NOT give youre hard earned money to these manipulators. I would have given this joker figure 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that scalpers or trying to destroy the hobby. This figure is well worth the wait, if you can wait that is.
Don't bunch up your undies, folks. July 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Okay, so I was checking this item out a little over a week ago and he was selling for upwards of three hundred dollars. Ridiculous right? Right. So I sat on my hands. Today I went to Wal-Mart on a lark and what do you know? There he was. For $11.47. Seriously, people...there must be thousands upon thousands of these things in warehouses across the country. Do yourself a favor and just check your local retail outlets on a regular basis. I'm sure you'll find him if you're persistent. FYI: I also saw a Movie Masters Scarecrow. I didn't buy him since I'm a bit tapped for cash at the second, but he looked pretty sweet. Hopefully there will be a Two-Face at some point.
As for the toy. Leaps and bounds above the kid-friendly version, with a good deal of detail and similarity to the actual look of the film. Very cool looking. Gotta love that Glassgow smile.
Keep looking!
Patience is a virtue July 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Do not buy from these criminals on Amazon. This toy, though scarcely available in stores, is down to almost $30 on ebay, and is dropping every day.
If you can wait, it will no doubt finally go down to a normal price. Also, there is a series two (with slightly different face makeup) that is back on the market.
There is no reason to pay extra, and buy into these sellers and their tremendous greed.
12.04 at Wally World July 10, 2008 I remember first seeing this figure in stores and passed on it. Big mistake! After not buying it the figure went on to sell for more than a hundred dollars, even go to the absolutely ridiculous price of two hundred and almost hit three hundred. Someone on Ebay probably did buy it for three hundred dollars. Well, I saw a review say that they picked up the toy at Wal Mart and I went to Wal Mart a day later and low and behold, they had one left! The figure looks like Ledger but the body looks filmsy and weak. It'll go into my Batman collection anyways. You'll never see me sell this figure-not for any price at all. Now, all I need is some anal Amazon reviewer to say the figure comes in two varations and that the figure I bought at Wal Mart recently is not worth anything. Who cares? I got the figure, I love Ledger's Joker, and I cant wait to see the movie!
My advice- Stop buying from sellers who are greedy for cash and sell this product for more then twelve dollars. Go check out your local or nearest Wal Mart first.
