Amazon.com Review Blessed with a carafe that pours without dripping, a water filter, and touchpad electronic controls, this coffeemaker provides safety, convenience, and a host of options for brewing 12 5-ounce cups at once. The carafe is calibrated for both filling the reservoir properly and for judging the amount of brewed coffee and the water filter improves taste by reducing chlorine. The control panel provides a 24-hour clock/timer for brewing "wake-up" coffee and permits the nonstick warming plate's temperature to be set as desired. Other features include a calibrated window on each side for monitoring the water reservoir's level, a hinged cover that flips back to reveal both reservoir and coffee filter, and cord storage. The carafe has a comfortable handle and a guard to protect the knuckles. The coffeemaker measures 7-3/4 inches wide, 12-1/2 inches high, and 10-1/4 inches deep. --Fred Brack

Black & Decker coffee smart. August 12, 2008 It is easy to set time & set time to brew! At last a simple brewer.
Not Worth It August 10, 2008 I am really disappointed in this coffeemaker. Consumer Reports rated this high. I purchased on 4/21/08 and today, 8/10/08, this coffeemaker is in non-working order.
Black and Decker coffee maker August 9, 2008 I really like the coffee maker a lot. The coffee is good and I like the features. The only problem I have it that the lid to the pot is a little difficult to put back on after washing it.
Black & Decker DCM2500 - Good Buy! July 31, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My wife and I were in the market for a programmable coffee maker, and, after reviewing them on Consumer Reports, we went with their recommended Black & Decker DCM2500B (black) machine. Now, we read the mixed user comments on this machine on Amazon.com as well as other locations, but decided to go ahead with the purchase. We're NOT sorry. This was a good buy and value for a coffee maker that's, for us, as advertisd. No problems with the clock, good coffee, and solid workmanship. Some people mentioned that it's "noisy" while brewing. Certainly it does make some noises, but it's mostly a gently "gurgling" that sounds normal during brewing. Admittedly, we've only had the coffee maker a relatively short amount of time, but we're giving it a thumbs up!
Digital Display Didn't Work after 2 days.. July 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The coffee part of the coffee maker is nice- no leaks or drips. The digital display lost "bars" after only 2 days of use.. You can't tell what time it is, due to this issue. Disappointing, but, I guess we'll deal with it for now..
