Nice extra to have. September 6, 2008
We only use our Garmin GPS Navigator on long trips so the friction mount is a nice extra. It sits easily on the dash and since it is not suction cup mounted, it is easy to take out of the car and doesn't leave the tell-tale suction cup mark on the windshield or windows of the car. I shopped around for the friction mount and Amazon.com had the best price on it by far.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 360 and I just couldn't get it to stay on the mount that came with the product after using it for 6 months. I was a little apprehensive in ordering this because I thought it was too expensive. I love it! I would recommend buying this especially if you use your Garmin alot. Well worth it!

Good product; the Garmin I own snaps off and on really easy. It is easy to put on my dash and doesn't slide. The only challenge I have is plugging in the power chord; it is a little tight.

The windshield mount on my Nuvi 360 broke, so I decided to replace it with this dash mount instead. It allowed me to move the unit closer to me (the windshield on my minivan is steep, so the unit was hard to reach previously). The base stays in place very well, even under hard cornering. It is also more convenient to move the unit to the floor when I park, putting it out of line of sight. No longer do I have suction cup imprints on my window either.
Recommended.

This portable friction mount is the perfect item for my Garmin. It sits nicely on the dash, does not block my windshield view and, most importantly, does not fall off! However, it's easily picked up and put away when I don't want it in view. It can be transferred from car to car with no problem. It's an amazing product!
