New Brush Heads for Better Cleaning
The FlexCare uses the newly designed ProResults brush heads with increased tooth coverage and a broader sweeping motion that results in better plaque removal. Combined with Sonicare's sonic technology, the high-speed bristle action allows a powerful yet gentle cleaning action that ensures a deep cleaning between teeth and along the gum line. With a slim, angled neck, the FlexCare makes it is easy to access hard-to-reach areas of the mouth. The ProResults brush heads come in two sizes: "standard" for a regular cleaning, and "mini" for precision in hard-to-reach areas.

The toothbrush handle also has a new tapered design that is easier to grip, and with a non-slip soft grip for better control. Compared to the Sonicare Elite, the FlexCare is 30 percent smaller, 16 percent lighter, and has 80 percent less vibration, but achieves superior results.

Multiple Cleaning Modes
The FlexCare offers maximum flexibility with your teeth cleaning. There are three two-minute brushing modes that offer "Clean" mode for full power and optimal cleaning, "Sensitive" mode for gentler brushing in sensitive areas, and "Massage" mode for a stimulating, soothing cleaning action.

The FlexCare also offers two routines: "GoCare" is a quick one-minute routine for between regular brushings, and "MaxCare" is a three-minute cleaning mode that combines two minutes of "Clean" mode with one minute of "Massage" mode.

Thanks to the FlexCare's Quadpacer, the toothbrush beeps every thirty seconds to let you know it is time to move on to the next quadrant of your mouth. The brush also features a Smartimer that automatically shuts off the toothbrush after the recommended two minutes of cleaning (unless using the MaxCare routine).

The FlexCare is clinically proven to remove significantly more plaque than Oral-B Sonic Complete.

New ProResults brush heads have increased coverage for more plaque removal.
And for first-time users of FlexCare, an "easy-start" feature allows you to work your way up to full strength by gently increasing the power over your first 14 uses.

Long Lasting Battery
With a lithium ion battery, you don't have to worry about running out of power when you're traveling; with regular brushing, the FlexCare lasts up to two weeks between charges! Lithium ion technology offers more energy and is more environmentally safe as compared to other rechargeable battery technologies. A deluxe recharge gauge on the handle keeps you notified of the amount of charge left.

The Sonicare FlexCare R910 is backed by a 2-year warranty.

What's in the Box:
Sonicare toothbrush, one ProResults standard brush head, deluxe charger with cord wrap and brush head storage, luxury soft travel case, hygienic travel cap, three additional color code rings.

5 out of 5 stars Our dentist recommended this   August 15, 2008
My husband had some problems with his gums and the dentist recommended he try this for a month and also have a professional cleaning during that time. His gums had major improvement in only one month. He says his teeth have never felt so clean and he will never go back to a regular brush. Our dentist also said the sanitizer feature on the other model is unnecessary. I am going to start using one too. The price has recently gone up by almost $40 since we bought it here, so you might want to shop around.

4 out of 5 stars Phillips sonicare flexcare tooth brush is the best I've ever used!   August 12, 2008
For those you of you who are in need of help choosing a sonicare toothbrush your search is over! This is the best electronic toothbrush i've ever used. I have used an older braun oral-B that crapped the bed after only a month of use! Not sure what happened there but that brush was decent. Then came the oral B vitality. What a worthless brush that is. Yes, it's cheap but you don't get half as many rotations as you would with the older oral-b models. Can't forget after a year of use I was lucky if the charge would last a full week without having it sit in the charging cradle. You could also tell as the days went on that it was losing it's power.

That Being said here are the pro's about this toothbrush: Smaller head then of the past sonicare toothbrushes. The charge definitely lasts more then a week without charge! I would say it would last just about a full 2 weeks without it sitting in the charging cradle. 2- compared to my oral b, i really love the "sonic" action you get with the toothbrush. I've had stuff stuck in my teeth plenty of times and instead of using floss(which is a better choice) i just use the one minute"go care" selection and bam, it blasts it away!. 3 you may not find this important, but the battery indicator is a luxury. I didn't have this with my past electric toothbrush, and without warning would have a dead toothbrush half way through my brushing!
4 All the different modes. When i say modes i really mean the "clean" , "go care" and max care" i believe these are the best and most used. The clean mode is for 2 minutes worth of cleaning, go care as i've mentioned above is for a brief 1 minute brushing for in between brushings, and the max care is my favorite- three minutes or 2 1/2 minutes of cleaning. 2 minutes of regular cleaning with about a minute extra of messaging. I can't forget the great feeling you get AFTER using this toothbrush. You get that just been cleaned by the dentist feeling- Nice and smooth every time!

Cons: The extra modes that can be used with the 2 minute "clean" massage and sensitive setting really aren't needed since phillips added the"max care" that includes the massage with regular cleaning. The sensitive could come in handy but i never use it
2- the toothbrush automatically shuts off! if you aren't paying attention you might not have the best teeth cleaning that day. i dont really find this to be a huge problem. If i'm having one of those days and it just turns of, i just turn it on again and finish.

3- this toothbrush is a bit pricey! Although i'm very happy because i chose this toothbrush over an older model due to the fact that this had more features, was the newest out there AND it was cheaper or about equal to the price of the older model.

For those looking to buy this toothbrush just take the plunge! To save some money do not buy it with the uv sanitizer. That's a major rip off and how much does that really work? When the bulb breaks you have to dispose of it properly due to mercury! so much for going green. Excluding the price, the few "extra" unnecessary modes, this is worth your money. I have never had such a good cleaning in my life excluding from the dentist. I love this toothbrush so much i use it at every opportunity.

4 out of 5 stars CLEAN!!   August 9, 2008
Bought this product for my teen son. It's very quiet and he tells me it does an amazing job and feels great. Took a little getting used to, but it has a program for acclimating the user to the vibration.

5 out of 5 stars Smokers and Coffee Drinkers Rejoice!   August 8, 2008
I have been brushing manually since I was taught how to brush my teeth. I am a smoker and a coffee drinker, yes, and my dentists have always given me a hard time. I see all the work they go through to get my teeth clean. I have been going for checkups every 6 months for last 6 years or so. About 7 years ago, I had 6 veneers put on at a top University with the best staff and equipment, and they recommended that since I smoke, that I should go more frequently to ensure oral health. Over the last 6 years my veneers have taken on some staining, so I have been looking into alternative methods of tooth cleaning.

Well, after my hygienist recommended the Sonicare toothbrush system, I thought I would check into it. I Paid 140-ish at a BIG box store for the system with one proresults head. I bought an extra 3 pack of proresults heads so my wife and I could use the system together, for an additional 30.

I unpacked it last night, and my first impression was that the charger seemed light and cheap, but the brush itself felt very solid and compact. I glanced over the quickstart guide and I was impatiently waiting for the unit to charge. The unit looks very attractive on the counter, which is a big deal since I do not have much space. My wife and I were tired of seeing our manual toothbrush handles sitting in a pool of slimy leftovers in a decorative toothbrush holder (YUK!), so we threw all that away. This unit looks great!!

After some time charging, I gave the unit a go. I was not affected by the sonic pulsations that I have heard other people complain about with other brands. I do have a few sensitive spots, but I was not too bothered by the noise or sensation. It reminds me of that great little tool the dentists have that uses water and sonic waves to BLAST away tartar and calculus off of my teeth.

After 2 minutes of working on the distal lingual surfaces, I had a look and WOW! It removed the few months of stain build up which I usually get on those interior surfaces. I should note here that I do not floss everyday like I should, instead I floss every other day or longer when I feel the need. I know I know (I'm lazy).

My teeth feel very smooth and are already showing signs of whitening. I may be able to go to a yearly checkup instead of every six months now. I will wait and see what the dentist says. All in all, if you are a smoker, a coffee drinker, or if you have veneers or other dental work you will love this product, it REALLY works!

5 out of 5 stars Works great   August 5, 2008
I'm quite happy with it so far, works great, easy to use. However, the travel pouch is a little chintzy, a hard case would have been nice.
