Might need more than one January 21, 2008 It probably depends on which set you add this to. For the main set that we have it just added a loop. A second would have given more options. It is pretty strong and simple. The 3 year old has not broken it yet and can take it apart with the best of them. His 12 year old sister usually puts it back together for him over his objections and the both manage to play with it together.
Available for half the price elsewhere November 25, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Unless I'm missing something, this is exactly the same product that we bought directly from the fisher-price web site for less that half the price shown here. My son loves it -- especially having more of the switch tracks, but I wouldn't have wanted to pay 34 when I got it for 15 directly. And the fp shipping was fast, too.
Track deficiency October 21, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Though we enjoy our GeoTrax system very much. My only complaint is that the track set doesn't have a center rail for the engine to catch. This is present in the Grand Central Station pieces but not in these extensions. Sometimes the train needs an additional push when it doesn't have the center rail to latch onto.
Need extra tracks? January 19, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Our now 5 year old wanted a train to go around the Christmas tree one year, we saw the GeoTrax and thought it would be perfect. She now gets a train pack for her birthday and Christmas each year. Don't know who enjoys it more, her or my husband and I. Anyway, we always found we needed some more tracks to expand our train set, this was a perfect addition. Though it needs at least two or three more straight tracks for us - we like to wind our train under the bridges and loop it around in a circle here or there. It is a great set and we love the road side accessories!
Always need more track January 16, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
More track is the first thing you're going to want to buy after your first GeoTrax train set. It will seem like you never have enough straights and curves to bring the track design to reality. The "switched" pieces work out better as the child gets older (3-4+).
