Product Description Up, over and through. Bridges and tunnels make any train trip more colorful and exciting by adding more than one level of play. Build on to your existing Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway layout with the Clock Tower. Turn the roof to raise and lower the drawbridge with signature "ratcheting" sounds; at the same time, the clock arms move to "tell time." Comes with two pieces of ascending track. Measures approximately 22 inches long.

Nice addition. Makes for interesting layout.. October 4, 2007 This is a well-made, fun, battery-free piece as others have said. Someone had mentioned how much space it takes up, and I want to add this for consideration. It is not necessary to put it 22" end-to-end. In fact, it makes a very nice elevated piece in which a ramp goes up, through the clock tower, then curves around and ramps back down. Beneath this elevated portion, there is as much track as you'd like. So in fact, it adds another level to the table and fits quite nicely with any configuration. Don't be intimidated by the length but use this to build more interesting layouts.
Great Addition, My 2 1/2 yr old LOVES it! May 27, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful

Clock Tower is Great, But... March 16, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This items is fabulously crafted. See other reviews and description for how it works. The only thing worth considering before adding it to an existing collection is the room it takes on a standard sized train table.
If you have a number of destinations or other components, you may want to consider this: the clock tower requires (and comes with) ascending and descending track. The sheer length of this component takes quite a bit of track length that would otherwise accomodate other items or destinations. Fully assembled, it's about 22 inches long. Because it requires the ascending/descending track-you can't put anything else on that side of the train/track set up.
My son doesn't play with this nearly as much as he does his other Thomas destinations-- I think in part because there is only the top part that he must move to make the bridge go up and down (the clock can be moved too). In retrospect, I would have preferred to use the space and money on something more manipulative and engaging.
Bottom line: Learning Curve offers more interesting destinations and components, and it takes a lot of track length. But, if you want an ascending/descending feature-this is a terrific option.
Great Accessory December 28, 2005 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the very first wooden Thomas piece my son received, aside from the Gold Thomas, Platinum Percy, and Mike engines that came with DVDs. Even without any other tracks, it kept him busy for nearly half an hour!
Great addition to the Thomas set December 10, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a wonderful, very durable addition to the Thomas series tracks. It does not require batteries which makes it even better! Just turn the roof on the clock tower to raise the bridge. Easy even for my 2 year old. So far, all of the trains fit through the tower without getting stuck. Does not take up much room on the train table either!
