Product Description
Part of the Thomas Wooden Railway System by Learning Curve A medium-sized engine. He likes to think of himself as a really splendid engine. This can occasionally lead to grandiose ideas about the sort of work suitable for such a noble creature, which invariably lands James in trouble.

This has been a great addition to my daughter's Thomas collection. She enjoys the bright red paint, and easily recognizes James while watching the Thomas DVD's.
Though it may seem odd to consider this an "educational" toy, I've used it when teaching my daughter her colors, numbers, as well as coordination.
Learning Curve has recalled all defective versions of this train, and so you should not be concerned with purchasing this or any other red (or yellow) train.

Thomas the Tank Engine toys, specifically the red James with coal car # 5, as this product depicts, have been recalled due to excessive levels of lead in the red paint. I would throw away this product, or any other red painted Thomas the Train product, until it is clear that the products in the pipeline are demonstrably lead free.
