Product Description
The original engine! Thomas is cheeky and fussy, often getting into scrapes...usually by being overeager to do things best left to bigger and more sensible engines.
Editorial Review Thomas the Tank is the signature bright-blue engine in the Thomas the Tank series. He does light yard work and pulls small passenger cars, such as Annie and Clarabel. Based on the award-winning television series Shining Time Station by the Reverend W. Awdry, the Thomas the Tank train system fulfills all of a child's choo-choo dreams. Each vehicle has a different name, character, and face. It is wooden and 2 inches high with black plastic wheels. The magnetic bumpers at the ends of each vehicle make linkup easy. Children will become friends with each one, developing not only imaginative play but social skills and new motor and cognitive skills as they mature. --Sandy Hirsch

Excellent little toy April 21, 2008 When I bought it online I thought it was a bit expensive. But it's good quality and my daughter loves it! She takes it everywhere with her and is constantly asking for "Thomas"!
Thomas the Train January 4, 2008 A must have with your Thomas collection. Easy to hook up with other trains and very durable.
very cute September 28, 2007 would have loved it more..if i didnt have to buy it seperate from the 100 piece wooden train set..
Good stuff September 1, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
These are fun little toys for kids, and yes, I have bought my son a few wooden engines and related rail systems, but I can't help but wonder where the madness will stop. How many different railway products can they come up with? Take-Along, Wooden, motorized, etc. It's unreal. What's worse is the fact that a few people I know own almost every single train produced. Why? How many engines can a kid play with at once? And I will leave the pricing alone. That's another rant. Well, buy what you must. I just like to throw my un-asked for opinion around.
Thomas, Oh how my child loves this toty. April 15, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son loves thomas, he pulls him along everywhere we go, his only complaint is that he doesnt have a tunnel that he can put thomas in..
Thomas is so much better for my son than his other battery operated toys, Nothing like a tried and true method of entertainment for young children like my son.
my son loves all his toys, but thomas is the one he keeps going back to for undisputed pleasure day in and day out, the smile on thomas' face really brings a smile to my childs.
