Excellent jumper/the best toy ever!!! October 12, 2008 We got this for our son who was nearly 4 months old. We have had it now for a month and it is his absolute favorite toy! Since he cannot sit up yet or crawl he gets his energy out and exercises in this jumperoo! I love to hold him and have him stand and jump around in my lap but I can't do that 24/7. He gets really impatient in bouncer chairs and now even hates his swing, but loves the jumper. I can put him in this jumper when I am getting his food ready or folding laundry. Today I even dragged it in front of the bathroom door so I could watch him while I took my shower. I think he usually lasts 20-30 minutes in it before he gets tired. Sometimes when he gets tired of jumping he'll just kind of relax, suck on his bib and watch the little jumperoo light show. Usually I put him in it twice a day, in the morning after his first feeding so I can eat my breakfast, and sometime later in the afternoon. The only con is it takes up a quite a bit of room, but it's totally worth it!
This one makes everyone happy. October 12, 2008 Time used: 3 months. Baby's favorite: Yes Should you buy?: Yes Good value for the money: I think its a better value than a lot of items of this size. Most baby items seem to be a bit pricey to me, but this one is worth the money even if its a little expensive.
The Good: Strengthens baby's legs. His legs are getting STRONG. The exercise is good for him and evens out his day. Just like exercise makes YOU feel better and helps you sleep, it does the same for baby too. In fact some books even tell you that your baby may be crying to let off excess energy. This device lets him get a workout, and then when he takes a nap he actually needs the rest.
Keeps baby upright. My wife really didn't want our son to have a bald spot on the back of his head, and to get a "flat head" and this device makes both less likely. And, my son PREFERs to be upright. He really likes it a lot more than laying around all day.
Thoughtful touches. The hanging stuff adjusts up. The folding parts use a pushbutton design.
Decent music. With Fisherprice, its hit of miss. Sometimes you get tinny nursery rhymes. Sometimes you get new music through a quality speaker. On this one, you get some new music through a quality speaker. The music isn't as good as the fisher price bouncy chair, but its much better than the Fisher Price stages rocker. You won't go crazy hearing it in the first couple days, you'll be able to listen to it for a couple months.
Easy to assemble. Speaking for me, it was. Maybe you would have a problem, but I felt it was pretty simple. Also collapses and moves around easily.
The Bad: There isn't anything I can say here. My son did get blisters on his big toes, but I think its really cool that he was getting that much exercise from it. Its my fault, not the jumperoo's.
If you not sure whether you should get this item, I can definitely tell you "yes".
Overhyped October 9, 2008 The overwhelming reviews prompted me to get this jumperoo for my baby girl. What's a nursery without a jumperoo, right? She was 6months old then and hated being in it. But after a few tries, she grew to like it....but not for long. She gets bored with it after 10-15min of play time and wails to get out of it.
I've barely touched it these days and it sits in a corner taking up a huge lot of space in my cramped apartment.
Would be better if you actually get to try the product first before deciding to buy, then again, every baby is different.
Super Investment October 8, 2008 Our 5-month old grandson simply loves this jumperoo! He is able to turn himself around (the best feature by far) to not only play with different items on the jumperoo itself, but also to keep up with activity going on around him - especially when moved to the kitchen. He can feel like he is part of everything and we don't have to turn the jumperoo everytime we reposition ourselves in the kitchen. If he's interested in seeing us, he simply moves himself - he just loves eye contact at this stage! He is able to jump, as well, but more of that will come as he gets older. For now he is content with the various activities and sounds of the jumperoo - and definitely likes the ability to move with us.
Our baby loves to bounce in his Jumperoo! October 8, 2008 We set this up when Anthony was 5 months old. The set-up was easy, only took about 20 minutes. Yes it is big, takes up lots of floor space, but is very worth it. The Jumperoo is great, when they bounce the electric toys play music and animal sounds which really excites him. The springs are adjustable, so as your child grows, you raise the jumper to be higher off the floor. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR SAFTY REASONS. CHILDREN CAN DAMAGE THIER ANCLES IF THE JUMPER IS NOT RAISED UP AS THEY GROW! Also most doctors will tell you that you should not keep your baby in a walker, saucer or jumper for more than 45 minutes at a time, as this can also cause ankle damage and bow legs. We also had a play saucer which we gave to my mom cause he got board of it after a week or two. The only thing I don't like is the leafs with the toys hanging. They don't move up and down and are to high up so the baby can't see them.
