I had fun assembeling this Lego with my 5 year old Grandson, he did most of it himself, just by looking at the easy to make guide. Afterwards he loved playing with it!

This is the first Mini Creator set I have tried. I was very pleased. Using mostly common pieces you can quickly produce a wonderful 1880's Western steam engine. The set comes with detailed instructions for two other models as well. You can put together a smart looking diesel engine or what looks like a hand car (although a different scale than the other two).
The set is packaged in a reusable plastic box and the directions are clear and straightforward as Lego fans have come to expect. A very pleasing little set sure to bring pleasure to anyone who likes trains. Check it out.

I purchased this as a gift for my little train enthusiast, not realizing that it was aged 6-12, and he's about to turn 4. Happily, though, the directions that came with the kit were extremely clear, and it was a great Mommy and Me project to build the first train. Amazingly enough, the kit utilizes all the pieces for the steam train at least, and there are quite a few of them. My little guy found each piece, and assembled what he could under my instruction, and I helped out when he could not get the pieces to pop together. The finished train even rolls, which thrilled him, and we BOTH felt a sense of accomplishment when it was completed. Highly recommended (under $[..]? SOOO worth it!)
