Better suction? August 28, 2008 It's a great concept - but getting it to stick to the bathroom wall can be a challenge unless you're willing to drill holes! Overall, good product..I just need better solution
I love my Frog Pod! August 22, 2008 I have had this Frog Pod for four years and I love it (so does my son). I bought one of these when they first came out and haven't regretted it for a minute. I didn't want to use the adhesive that came with it because it said it was permanent (This was long before the suction cups) and I didn't want to do a lot of scraping to remove the adhesive when he got older so I used command adhesive instead and it worked perfectly. It has never fallen in 4 years.
Yes it is big, I was surprised by that too but I don't believe it is an unreasonable size for the amount of bath toys your average child has. I think most new parents (like me) just don't realize how many bath toys are going to accumulate!. I have had to rotate my son's bath toys over the years to have them all fit.
I would definitely buy this again and have bought them for several of my friends. It is a delightful design and a wonderful color that alway brings a smile to my face when i see it. I love that it provides such neat storage and makes it soooooo easy to pick up all the toys at the end of the bath. When my son was younger he used to love to watch the water coming back out of the holes as we cleaned up now he loves to clean up himself because it makes it so fun. Often he will dump out the toys in the bath and play with the scoop instead. I have even used it for rinsing the shampoo out of his hair.
I am not discounting the people that couldn't get the pod to stay on the wall I am sure it was frustrating but if you are one of the people, like me, who can get it to stay GREAT product, GREAT design, GREAT functionality. LOTS OF FUN!
Didn't stick for me!! Thank Goodness my kids weren't taking a bath when it fell!!! August 18, 2008 It looks nice and does keep toys in it, but if you have a boy that likes to play with boats; the boats will not fit unless they are the size of a regular rubber ducky size! I read the instructions before putting up... I cleaned the tile and waited like 3-4 hrs before placing it up.. I thought it worked nicely and even enjoyed it for about 2 days till I heard a loud noise come from in the bath room and found it had fallen down off the tile into the bathtub... Thank Goodness my kids, my husband, or I wasn't the shower/tub when it fell. I tried to return it but they wouldn't take it back so I had it in the box forever then just gave it away to someone who said they would nail it up... They are using it now on a regular wall... I suggest not buying it at all!!! You can find a big bucket and paint the kids names on it and put the toys in... I did... I wish I never bought the thing.. It really only holds little toys, it don't grow with the child... Sorry That's just my opinion!! If you do end up just having to buy it I hope it works out better for you than it did for me!!
Wouldn't stick August 14, 2008 Very cute but wouldn't stick at all to our shower wall. Tried many times with different sticky materials and wouldn't stay.
Not for Italian tile or similar surfaces... July 29, 2008 It's very stylish and modern. Although it didn't stick to our Italian tile shower wall. The only solution to that problem would be to use the attachment for screws (but who would want to drill holes in their shower wall??) or use waterproof superglue -- and that's exactly what I did. Only you have to get the type of glue that is waterproof and the stronger the glue -- the better. Another thing is that the container for toys doesn't really hold all that much and the whole thing is pretty large in size, but it's mostly the base of it (the actual frog) that's taking up all the room...so pretty much it's just for "looks" if you know what I mean.
