Product Description Our premier set! Includes multiple vehicles, track, accessories, and the popular Roundhouse. Thomas Box features a removable lid that doubles as a seat cushion. The complete Island of Sodor in a decorative, wood Thomas Toy Box. Features both train and roadway play!
Editorial Review While it is true that the world Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends live in is not precisely real, this comprehensive set is probably about as close as you can come. It features 10 different train cars, two open bridges, one covered bridge, and operable track signals. The star of the set, as the title implies, is the roundhouse, which can hold five different cars that can be moved about using a rotating circular platform. But our favorite part of the kit is the large wooden toy box, inside which all the equipment can be stored. The box is shaped and painted like Thomas and has a comfortable padded seat, perfect for when kids feel like taking train play to a larger scale. As comprehensive as the Roundhouse set is, it's still compatible with other Thomas sets so it's infinitely scalable. --John Moe

Battery opporated trains June 17, 2008 I purchased this Thomas Round House set for my son and have had many problems with the battery opporated trains working correctly. 1st - the trains cannot climb the second tier, 2nd - trains run off the track on the 4 most outer corners, and 3rd - the poor quality of the tracks have rounded edges which allow the trains to run off the tracks.
I have purchased two other sets and not had the problems like the Round House Set. Payed to much money for poor quality...
GREAT SET...but how to keep it together.... December 16, 2007 This is a great set and our son loves it. Our only problem is that it does not stay together. Our son is gentler than most with his toys, and things still fall apart frequently. We thought about using wood glue, or even finishing nails to keep things from always falling over. We have not tried anything yet, though. The toy box is GREAT and is played with almost as much as the tracks! Since he loves to sit in and on it to play train, it is not being used for storage as we had hoped. Oh, well! If you have any ideas to keep the parts together better, let us know!
