Fun and excellent toy!! August 23, 2008 I bought this toy for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and wish I would have gotten it for her sooner. She absolutely loves it, and has played with it every day for 2 months!! It is sturdy and made well. There are some furniture pieces that are removable, and some that are built in. Her favorite sounds are the doorbell, telephone and potty. The potty flushes when the lid is lifted...a bit strange, but o.k. for a child. We are potty training now, and she is able to pretend play with her doll house. This is very much worth the money!! I have highly recommended it to my friends and family.
Dollhouse April 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 18-month-old really enjoys this dollhouse. I wasn't sure if she was ready for a dollhouse, but she's starting to get interested in it. She doesn't play too long with it yet, but I'm sure she will as she gets older. This is her first experience with the "Little People", too, and they're great. She likes to take the "mom" and "dad" out of the house, and tuck them in bed with her blankie. It's a great introductory dollhouse, without all the small parts you usually have to worry about with big kid dollhouses. And it's gender neutral, too, which is pleasant to see.
Not so hot March 16, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bought this for daughter who does love it. But there are design issues I'd have thought would have been worked out by now. I was growing up in the 80's and Fisher Price had much nicer play houses then that were larger and had more rooms to them. This one is much differently designed, smaller, less rooms. It has sound effects to it which could be nice: phone rings, doorbell, toilet flushes. But the toilet only flushes if you RAISE the lid ????? and should flush when you lower the lid. The front door NEVER stays on. You don't even have to mess with it much like open it, you touch it and it just falls off the hinges because they didn't make them well. Overall daughter loves it (nothing to compare to) but as a parent I'm disappointed.
'The Little Playhouse' January 27, 2008 I bought this for my little granddaughter. She thinks it is the most wonderful toy and plays with it so often. The little people are easy to hold on to, and it is just a happy little house. It is by Fisher Price, and so I know it is going to hold up to hours of fun.
excellent first dolls house January 12, 2008 We bought this for our 2 and half year old daughter and she loves it! The dolls are durable and there are plenty of activities that she can do with the characters and the house; the phone rings, the potty flushes (which is helpful for teaching the concept of potty training in real life!) and we are overall pleased with the product. The fact that you can buy additional 'dolls' is good too. She has hours of fun with this product. Highly recommend it.
