Customer Reviews:
Disappointing steering July 8, 2008 I really liked the design and size of this R/C Jeep, expecially for the price. It runs over little obstacles like a book, pushes asides Legos and is generally great fun. It is build quite well for the price and did outlast my 2-year-old's attention without any parts being torn off, so no complaints there.
However, I was very disappointed when the steering turned out to be very poor: the front wheels only move about 20 degrees to either side, so you need to reverse about a dozen times to turn around in an average corridor. And once you put it on carpet, it does not work at all. My son does not mind much, he just gave up on steering and walks up to the car to get it in the direction he wants it to go next.
I hope that the manufacturer can fix the steering in the models, steering is an essential function in my opinion.
