Product Description
For 1 or more players
Can you remember what's hiding where' It's fun find matching pictures of your favorite things, two by two. Just flip over cards, two at a time, trying to make a match. If you find the same two cards, you keep them! Find the most pairs and you're the winner! Includes 72 picture cards and a plastic storage tray.

Editorial Review
Children learn about taking turns and matchmaking in this game as they try to make pairs of elated elephants, panting puppies, smiling suns, and other familiar objects. The 72 (cardboard) cards have lively, colorful drawings that make them easy to remember and a tray for storing them. Played alone, Original Memory is a quiet activity for developing concentration and memory. With more players, it's even more of a memory challenge to remember where the cards are that have already been turned over. And you have to wait your turn, which is sometimes harder than anything. The printed rules in the box set the tone for this child-friendly game: the youngest player always goes first. --Lynne Sampson

5 out of 5 stars A great family game   October 15, 2008
Memory was a game that I played as a child. My family has had a great time playing this game together. It is also a good educational tool for children.

4 out of 5 stars Good for language.   August 27, 2008
My daughter just turned two, so she is too young to use it as a memory game. She likes to match the cards when they are faces up. I break it down to 9 pairs at a time so it is not too overwhelming.

4 out of 5 stars Timeless classic   August 18, 2008
This is a great game for any preschool child. My two youngest children love to play it.

5 out of 5 stars Great game   July 11, 2008
I got this for my 2.5 year old son because I remember having so much fun with it when I was a child. The pictures have gotten much better. My son is a little young to actually play the game yet, but we have fun finding the different pictures in the pile...plus working on vocabulary. Whoever designed the pictures, must have toddlers, because they are all pictures they are interested in like pizza, cookies, dinosaurs, puppies, monkeys, etc. Very durable for carboard.

This is a great game for kids (and not too boring for the adults). It is one of the most scalable games. You can make the game about any length by getting out fewer matches. My only complaint is that the tray should have square holes so the pieces go in both ways. (They are rectangles like the pieces so the pieces don't lay flat if they are sideways.) This would make the clean up much easier for the little ones.
